Media Revolution Ministries, Inc. (“MRM”) respects the privacy of the visitors to and users of the HealthForHer.org website (the “Website”).  This Privacy Policy is for the purpose of advising visitors of and to the Website of the measures adopted by MRM to protect the privacy of visitors, as well as the use and disposition of certain personal information submitted by visitors.  It is important that each visitor reads this Privacy Policy carefully, as it, in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of Use applicable to the Website, applies to each visitor’s access to and use of the Website and any Content (as defined in the Terms and Conditions of Use).

By accessing and/or using the Website and any Content, each visitor (1) acknowledges that he or she has read and understands this Privacy Policy, and (2) acknowledges, understands, consents, and agrees that all of his or her use of and access to the Website and the Content is subject to this Privacy Policy, as may be amended, supplemented, updated, altered, revised, or otherwise modified from time to time, in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of Use.

2.     Information Collected; Manner of Collection.

MRM collects personal information of visitors to the Website in the form of (a) names and e-mail addresses voluntarily submitted by those visitors that sign up for the e-newsletter, and (b) the names, e-mail addresses, and website addresses (if any) voluntarily submitted by those visitors that post comments to Content.  No other personally identifiable information is currently collected by MRM by and through the Website.  As more particularly stated in Section 8 of this Privacy Policy, MRM uses “cookies” and other similar anonymous identifiers to collect and store browsing data related to a visitor’s visit to the Website, which may include sending one or more cookies or similar anonymous identifiers to the visitor’s device.  Notwithstanding the foregoing with respect to personal information, MRM may permit third-party data repositories to collect a visitor’s browsing data related to the visitor’s visit to the Website, who may in turn sell such browsing data to other third party entities.  The browsing data obtained from the Website for a visitor will not itself be or contain personally identifiable information of such visitor.

3.     Use/Disclosure of Collected Information.

Information collected from visitors to the Website may be used (a) to provide, protect, maintain, improve, and enhance the services and visitor experience, as well as to develop new services, provided by and through the Website; (b) to provide tailored content that may be of interest to the visitor; (c) to communicate with visitors and provide Website-related promotional materials, (d) to protect MRM and other visitors to the Website; (e) with respect to browsing data, by third-party data repositories to whom MRM has given authority to so collect as established pursuant to Section 2 of this Privacy Policy; and (f) upon obtaining the visitor’s consent, for any other purpose to which the visitor may agree.  MRM restricts access to personally identifiable information obtained from visitors of the Website to those employees, contractors, and agents of MRM who need to know the information for the purposes and usages identified in this Privacy Policy, and who are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations.

MRM will not disclose a visitor’s personally identifiable information to any non-affiliated company, individual, organization, or entity, except in any of the following circumstances:

(a)   The visitor has provided his/her consent to such disclosure;

(b)   To provide necessary information to third parties who perform services or functions for or on behalf of MRM in connection with the management, operation, and maintenance of the Website; provided, however, that MRM has entered into an agreement with any such third parties that contains a provision prohibiting such third party from disclosing or using such personally identifiable information for any purpose other than that for which it was disclosed and for which the services of the third party were retained;

(c)    The disclosure is reasonably necessary to (i) satisfy requirements imposed under applicable laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, or any enforceable judicial or governmental demands, subpoenas, summons, orders, or decrees, (ii) enforce the Terms and Conditions of Use, or (iii) investigate violations of the Terms and Conditions of Use; or

(d)   In furtherance of the pursuit or defense of an actual or threatened legal proceeding and the claims and assertions made therein, whether asserted by or against MRM, provided such disclosure is limited to only that which is reasonably necessary to further MRM’s pursuit or defense of such claims and proceedings, as the case may be, and provided further that MRM takes reasonable precautions to attempt to ensure the information disclosed does not become a matter of public record (though MRM shall not be liable or responsible if, having taken such reasonable precautions, such information does become a matter of public record).

4.     Retention of Visitor Information.

Information submitted by visitors that subscribe to the e-newsletter is stored in an e-mail database currently hosted by MailChimp.  Blog comments are held within WordPress on MRM’s server.  All information collected and stored is held behind secure firewalls.

5.     Access to Information.

Subscribers to the e-newsletter will have access to the personal information provided by them upon signing up to receive the e-newsletter (i.e., name and e-mail address) for the limited purpose of updating such information to ensure the accuracy thereof or to terminate the subscription to the e-newsletter.  Subject to Section 3 [Use/Disclosure of Collected Information], upon terminating the subscription to the e-newsletter, MRM will delete any and all personal information of the subscriber.  Visitors will not have access to information provided through the submission of a comment to Content.

6.     User Submitted Information on Public Website Forums.

User Submitted Information (as defined in the Terms and Conditions of Use), including but not limited to personally identifiable information, voluntarily submitted, posted, linked to, displayed, or used on any publicly viewable or accessible areas of the Website does not enjoy any expectation of privacy and is not protected by or under this Privacy Policy or any measures implemented by MRM to protect the personal information of the visitors to the Website.  Thus, such User Submitted Information is subject to activities of third parties that are beyond the control of MRM, which may include, without limitation, collection and use by third parties resulting in unsolicited communications.  MRM is in no way responsible or liable for the discoverability, collection, or use of such User Submitted Information by third parties.

7.     Protection of Children’s Personal Information.

Though the Website and its content are intended for general audiences, MRM does not intend that children will use the Website.  Accordingly, MRM does not intend to or knowingly collect, store, use, or disclose any personal information from children.  In the event MRM discovers that it has collected personal information of a child under the age of 13, including without limitation the full name, home address, e-mail address, telephone number, or any other information that would allow someone to identify or contact the child, MRM will either (a) block such child from providing personal information, or (b) seek to obtain consent from the parents of such child for the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of such child’s personal information.

8.     Use of Cookies.

MRM uses “cookies” or other similar anonymous identifiers to collect and store browsing data related to a visitor’s visit to the Website, which may include sending one or more cookies or similar anonymous identifiers to the visitor’s device.  A visitor may delete cookies or other similar anonymous identifiers from their browser at any time, which may affect the visitor’s user experience around the internet.

9.     Google Analytics.

MRM uses Google Analytics to better understand how visitors to the Website interact therewith and, thus, provide MRM with information beneficial for the improvement and enhancement of the Website.  MRM only allows Google to use non-personally identifiable data obtained from a visitor’s usage of the Website.  A visitor can read the privacy policy for Google Analytics by clicking on the link. A visitor can choose not to have his or her data collected by Google Analytics by downloading the opt-out browser add-on.

10.  Links to Other Websites. 

The Website contains links to third party websites that are not owned, managed, operated, or otherwise controlled by the MRM.  These links are provided solely as a convenience to you, and the MRM does not make any endorsement or recommendation of or regarding any linked third party website or the content thereof; nor does such linking indicate any affiliation or sponsorship by MRM of any such third party website.  Similarly, if a third party provides a link to the Website, it does not necessarily reflect a relationship with such third party.  Your access to and usage of any linked third party website and/or the content thereof is solely at your own risk.  MRM assumes no liability for your access or usage of any linked third party website and/or the content thereof.  Your access to and usage of any linked third party website and/or the content thereof is subject to the privacy policy of and for such linked third party website.

11.  Modification of Privacy Policy.

MRM reserves the right to amend, supplement, update, alter, revise, or otherwise modify this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason.  Any such amended, supplemented, updated, altered, revised, or modified Privacy Policy shall be binding and immediately effective upon the posting thereof to the Website.  Your continued access and use of the Website upon the posting of any amended, supplemented, updated, altered, revised, or modified Privacy Policy constitutes Your acknowledgment, acceptance, and agreement thereto and to be bound thereby.

The headings and captions used in these Terms and Conditions of Use are for convenience only and shall not limit, expand, affect, alter, or otherwise modify the meaning of any text.
